John Ruggiero

John A. Ruggiero serves as MAF Companies’ Chief Marketing Officer.

John has over 38 years of high-performance field management experience in financial services, including recruiting and training of insurance, property/casualty brokers and estate planners. John is well-versed in the operations and marketing of risk based and wealth management products through independent distribution.

As the Director of Operations for Clark Consulting, John was responsible of all operational issues surrounding its merger and acquisition business. He also created all strategic planning, sales and marketing programs for acquired firms.

As the Senior Vice President of USI Holding Corp., John was responsible for all areas of sales and marketing of its national Wealth Management Division.

As Regional Sales Director for American International Group, he built a successful high-end region from scratch; recruited, trained and managed over 450 brokers and seven producer groups in a four-state area while Principal of his own fee-based planning firm, Chicago Financial Associates.

John began his career in New York as a personal producer and eventually as General Manager for the Monarch Life and Penn Mutual where he was responsible for marketing & advanced sales support for all risk-based and equity products in Michigan, Ohio and Illinois.

John believes that in order to expand MAF’s position in the marketplace, he “will bring proven marketing concepts and solutions to help producers meet their customer needs.”

John holds an MBA degree from Madison University and a BA from Rutgers University.
